Samantha Ransone

Samantha currently serves as the Director of Medical Content for Patient Outreach at

St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She leads a talented team of strategic health

communicators who develop education and information on pediatric cancer and other

childhood diseases for patients and families. She began her career as a pediatric

intensive care nurse, where she developed a deep appreciation for the power of clear,

compassionate communication in complex medical settings. After completing her PhD

in Nursing Science, Samantha led a team of nurse educators responsible for the

training and continuing education of clinical staff. Drawing on her clinical background

and PhD, she bridges the worlds of medicine, education, and communication to make

health information more accessible, equitable, and actionable for patients and families

in the United States and worldwide.
