Policy and Legislation
The Policy and Legislation Task Force Chair for the U.S. Health Literacy Association leads efforts to analyze, advocate for, and influence policies and legislation that advance health literacy. This role involves monitoring legislative developments, collaborating with stakeholders to craft policy recommendations, and mobilizing members to support advocacy initiatives. The chair ensures the task force’s work aligns with the association’s strategic goals, providing leadership to drive meaningful policy change.

Frieda Wiley, PharmD, is a medical affairs consultant and strategist who has leveraged her unique blend of scientific, research, and communications experience to help major organizations such as the National Institutes of Health, Pfizer, Danaher, West Coast University, Morgan State University, and more. She is a former columnist for and currently serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships for 40Plus Greater Washington, D.C.
The author of five books, her first book, Breaking Crazy: Working from Home without Losing Your Marbles, is available on Amazon, and wherever else books are sold. She has three children's books slated for publication in late 2024 or early 2025.
