Partnerships

The Partnerships Task Force Chair for the U.S. Health Literacy Association fosters strategic collaborations with organizations, institutions, and stakeholders, including government agencies, nonprofits, and community organizations to advance shared health literacy goals. This role involves identifying partnership opportunities, developing mutually beneficial initiatives, and maintaining strong relationships to enhance the association's reach and impact. The chair provides leadership to the task force, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and promoting innovative, collaborative solutions.

Stan Hudson, MA, is the Director of Professional Development and Training at the Institute for Healthcare Advancement (IHA), where he leads national initiatives to strengthen organizational and individual health literacy. With more than 25 years of experience in professional development and health services research, and over 15 years dedicated to advancing health literacy, Stan brings deep expertise in policy, program design, and workforce training.

A recognized leader in building strong public–private partnerships, Stan has collaborated with hospitals, health systems, public health agencies, community-based organizations, and national associations to advance health literacy policy and practice. His work emphasizes aligning health literacy strategies with policy priorities, fostering collaboration across diverse sectors, and developing scalable solutions that improve communication and access to care. 

Stan is widely regarded for his ability to translate policy into practice, helping organizations operationalize and integrate health literacy into their systems to drive measurable improvements in outcomes and equity.
